Rome Lions Clubs Seeks Proposals for Collaborative Grant

The Rome Lions Club is offering up to $10,000 to a worthy non-profit organization — or that amount in smaller allocations to multiple organizations — for a collaborative project that will better our community.  The project must target hunger, youth, vision, or environmental issues, and the organization must be based in the Greater Rome Area.

An informational meeting is scheduled for 7PM this Thursday, February 19th, in the Rome Common Council Chambers at City Hall.  Applications are due at the end of March.  Interested organizations should contact the Rome Lions Club via e-mail at romelionsclub@gmail.com or call 527-2138.

The Rome Lions Club is a part of Lions International, the world’s largest service organization.  Their motto, #WeServe, encompasses the proactive work the organization does in communities across the world.  Locally, the Rome Lions Club has been serving the Greater Rome Area for 63 years.
