RB Marshawn Lynch Ends Holdout
(NEW YORK) -- Running back Marshawn Lynch ended his eight day holdout and arrived at Seattle Seahawks training camp Thursday.
The 28-year-old Lynch was holding out for a new deal he did not receive, although ESPN reports the Seahawks are expected to add some financial concessions to his contract. Lynch is set to receive up to $5.5 million this season, the third year of his four-year $30 million deal with the team.
Lynch has accrued close to $500,000 in team fines for holding out, but the Seahawks have not made it official whether they will collect the fines or waive them.
Lynch carried the ball more than 300 times for the second straight season in 2013, rushing for 1,257 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also caught 36 passes for two touchdowns.
